Church Picnic
Sunday, September 7th at Fountainwood Park and Pool. Noon-4:00 p.m.
-Bring a dish to pass… hamburgers and brats and drinks will be provided.
My Family and Me
My
Family and Me is the new emphasis of Sunday morning Christian
Education at Peace launched in the fall of 2008. It has the following
desired outcomes:
• That Peace makes “Disciples and Followers” of Jesus
• Help Families Worship Together each weekend
• Help Parents grow into the role of spiritual leaders for their children
• Help Families “grow together” rather than “pulled apart” with busy-ness
Unique
Aspects of My Family and Me: Each month there will be a “My Family
and Me” event for each age group. For example:
One month the parents join in the Sunday School Class with their
children/youth not as “observers” but to “help teach the lesson” to their
child.
The next month the entire family joins together in the sanctuary at 9:30
a.m. for a special “family worship service” and the Sunday School leaflet is
simply a “take home and read” piece picked up at the end of the service.
