Ysleta Mission Trip for 2008

Ysleta Lutheran Mission - YLM

El Paso, Texas – Juarez, Mexico

Feb 16-23, 2008

This will be our fifth year of journeying south of the border to help our brothers and sisters in and around Juarez Mexico. In the past we have built 6 homes, a Sunday school and helped to build a new sanctuary for San Lucas Lutheran Church in Anapra, Mexico. This year we will most likely be building another home for a family in Mexico and putting some finishing touches on San Lucas Lutheran if it is not finished by the time of our trip.

You will find the people of Ysleta Lutheran Mission to be a warm and caring bunch of Christians who are always shining with the light of Jesus. No building skills are required, only a willing heart for service! We have taken servants in the past from 19 – 79 years of age and would take teens if they are accompanied by a parent.

The cost of the trip is $335 plus the cost of air fair. A $50 deposit will reserve a spot for you on this trip. THIS YEAR A PASSPORT IS REQUIRED IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL INTO MEXICO! If you would like to go to YLM and do not have a passport you will be given tasks to do on the Mission grounds in El Paso, Texas.
