We have been teaching 4K for 30 years and area kindergarten teachers can't wait to have our students in their classes! Little Lambs students are recognized as exceptionally well prepared. Our curriculum focuses on three things: teaching Jesus's love, hands-on learning, and kindergarten readiness.
Parents have options to customize 4K, to meet the needs of the student and the family's busy schedule.
One option is the Traditional 4K Program:
Children in our 4K classes love to learn and grow into "big kids" as they get ready for Kindergarten! We build on their 3K skills, focusing on a similar curriculum to kindergarten, but in 4K we provide more teacher support. The goal is for the content to be familiar so when they get to kindergarten, they can function more independently. We maintain a whole child approach, concentrating on social, emotional, physical and academic skills, with a firm foundation of love and faith in Jesus.
Another option is the JK-Flex Program:
This mulit-age flexible option allows parents to choose how many days their child goes to school - 3, 4 or 5 mornings/week. This 21st century inquiry learning model offers an innovative, exploratory approach to Kindergarten readiness, while meeting the needs of each individual child in all areas of development. Our experienced teachers engage children in small group, large group and individual work, where differentiation is the norm. A focus on the whole child begins with a foundation in Christ.
Both Traditional and JK Flex offer the option of adding Lunch Bunch and Wrap-Around Care for those families who need to extend their child's day.
"The teachers at Little Lambs look at the whole child not just the academic portion. The numbers [in the classes] are cut small enough that each kid gets individualized attention, and the teachers aren't stressed out they love what they are doing. Jesus is incorporated into every aspect of the education, which is extremely important to me. " -Testimony from a happy parent!
Our 3K programs begin to ready our students for Kindergarten and beyond, promoting the development of the whole child through play, focusing on character building, academic skills, social and emotional intelligence, and physical readiness, all built on a foundation of faith and love for Jesus.
The Traditional half day 3K program is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and parents can choose to extend their child's preschool day by adding Lunch Bunch and/or Wrap-Around Care.
In the JK Flex multi-age classroom, 3K and 4K students engage together in an inquiry learning curriculum specially created to address their varied developmental needs, utilizing small group, large group and individual learning opportunities. This flexible Junior Kindergarten option gives parents the freedom to choose how many days their child goes to school: 3, 4 or 5 days/week, as well as options to add Lunch Bunch and Wrap-Around Care.
